About Me
I have worked in the IT industry for over 17 years. I started my career working as a helpdesk technician in a Tenethealh facility. We were outsourced to PerotSystems, and later on to Dell Services. During that time I took several promotions, eventually becoming a Sr. Deskside Support analyst. I later took on a Sr. IT Technical Specialist role with Laboratory Corporation Holdings of America. I later moved from support to Programming, taking a role as a Project Analyst. I then transitioned into a Systems Engineering role with our Global Open Systems Team, supporting Linux/UNIX/VMS systems.
During this time I have supported a wide variety of systems and technologies, spanning from NT Workstation up to windows 11; Windows Server 2003 to 2019; RHEL 4 – 9; Active Directory / Group Policy / Web Development (PHP/ASP/VBA/MySQL/MSSQL), and the list just goes on.
During this time I have had to create a wide variety of solutions to reach a given set of goals. Many of these tasks became rather intricate, and many of these skills/tricks I think can be very educational, or very useful among most IT trades.
This blog is an attempt to help document and share many of these items, in hopes that it may help you in your endeavors.
On a more personal note, I am happily married to my high school sweetheart, and we have 3 wonderful children, and recently had my first grans-child. I am active in my local community and my local masonic lodge. I also work within my local church, providing IT assistance when/where needed.
